 College Bound Athletes Training Camp

RU Sports Performance Center’s College Bound Athletes (CBA) program is an intense four-day-per-week strength & conditioning training camp.  CBA improves athleticism through proven sport-specific, functional strength and conditioning techniques. The outdoor sessions (2 days/week) emphasize speed, fitness and skills development while the indoor workouts focus on sport-specific strength, power and dynamic flexibility. Prepare to make an immediate impact next year and join the CBA program!

Skill training is an integral piece of CBA - our coaches understand the importance of sharpening sport skills during the off season.  We have guest coaches in soccer, football, baseball, and lacrosse, but no matter what the sport you will be ready to perform at the next level!

More than just Conditioning! CBA not only creates better athletes, but better people. Beyond preventing injury and increasing speed, strength, and power, our goal is to create an environment to foster new friendships, provide tools for continued success in and beyond athletics, and (most importantly) have fun! That's why we also include:

  • Beach Workouts & BBQ's
  • Informal Training Days (pick-up soccer, basketball, etc)
  • Other Socials

2010 Dates/Times - Online Calendar:
Pre-Camp:

  • May 18th-June 3rd, 2010
  • Tuesdays & Thursdays, 4:00-5:30 pm
  • Rehab United (Kearny Mesa)
  • Build a strong base to prevent injury
  • Comprehensive workouts – combination of strength, power, agility, and dynamic flexibility

Full Camp:

  • June 7th-July 30th, 2010
  • Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays , 4:00-6:00 pm (until June 18th)
  • Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays , 8:30-10:30 am (June 21st-July 30th)
  • Mon & Fri - Indoor Strength/Power Days @ Rehab United (Kearny Mesa)
  • Tue & Thu - Outdoor Agility/Fitness Days @ Field/Track/Beach

Post Camp:

  • Dates TBD

FAQ's:

  • Do I need to be current enrolled in college to complete the CBA program? The CBA training was originally created for graduated High School students entering their first year of college sports. We welcome, though, all athletes, ages 16+. In the past few years we have trained current High School athletes as well as athletes entering their final year of college.
  • What if I have vacations planned? We will prorate the program based on the number of weeks you can attend.
  • Do you offer team discounts? Yes - discount are available for 4+ athletes.
  • What does the camp entail? We train 4 days/week - 2 indoor strength & power training days and 2 outdoor speed, agility, and fitness days.
  • Can I choose less than 4 days/week? Yes, we offer a 2 Day/Week option for the Full Camp. You can choose any 2 of the 4 days.
  • I have a summer weights program from my coach - how can I coordinate the training? The CBA training camp will prepare you for ANY college program - we will assure that you pass all your fitness and strength tests.
