Biography: Ariela was born and raised in San Diego, California. In thinking of college and the future, Ariela wanted to be more independent and live on her own, however, the thought of leaving San Diego was tough. The best compromise was to attend California State University San Marcos in North County, San Diego. Ariela moved all around North County throughout college, and now has settled in San Marcos for the time being.

Previous job experiences for Ariela haven’t been professional or related to Digital Marketing, as she has worked in part-time customer service roles throughout high school and college. However, working in retail and customer service has taught her valuable skills such as communication and a strong work ethic that she has taken with her into this new role.

With a degree in Media Studies, Ariela has learned plenty about the media landscape and how digital policy and usage not only affects the political sphere, but also children, teens, and adults. Through a critical lens, Ariela has acquired knowledge on how media impacts the daily lives of citizens and how media literacy is essential for a democratic environment.

Ariela has always loved reading, she got that from her mother as her parent’s house was stacked with books. Ever since she was young, reading has been a huge part of her life and she can power through an entire book in one sitting if it grabs her interest. Although reading doesn’t require much physicality, she also enjoys roller-skating by the beach, yoga, and indoor rock-climbing on occasion.

The reason for choosing Rehab United is twofold; not only does it pertain to Digital Marketing, a career path Ariela is drawn to, but it also intersects with her familiarity and passion for fitness and well-being. Her mother is a PiYo, Zumba, and Silver Sneakers fitness teacher and she has been taken to a gym setting since she was a toddler. She also has the desire to talk with and help others, which ignites her passion for working for Rehab United.
