Meet the Team

Since 2003, our family has grown from a team of three to a team of over 100 people! Our "cRUw" is key to our success and we truly take pride in the family we've built over the years. The Rehab United Difference Begins with Our People.

Fun Fact About You: On one of my first mountain bike rides, I got stuck in a hard gear going up a bridge and did a slow motion fall onto my back about 3 feet down into a river. I came up missing a tooth and dunked my entire brand new iPhone, but couldn't wait to get back out on the trails!

Biography: Brian (a.k.a. B-Real) was born and raised in Santa Maria, CA where he attended St. Joseph's High School playing four years of baseball, football, and soccer. Brian moved down to San Diego in 2004 in pursuit of a career in Law Enforcement, but shortly after graduating from the academy he was involved in a traumatic construction accident resulting in the loss of his right leg above the knee, which first introduced him to the field of physical therapy.

Brian attended Cal State University San Marcos, graduating in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology while working at RU as an aide. Rehab United's Applied Functional ScienceTM philosophy inspired Brian to pursue a career as a Physical Therapist.  Brian attended the University of St. Augustine where he received his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. Brian is excited and proud to come full circle and return to be an integral part of the RU team, now the Clinic Director of RU2 - Carmel Valley.  Brian is a Graduate Fellow of Applied Functional Science (FAFS) and is V.P of Education at RU.  Along with Co-Owner, Sean Hill, he helped to develop "RUniversity" for an ongoing staff education curriculum and community health and wellness, including education and support of the Challenged Athlete Foundation here in San Diego.

In his spare time, Brian enjoys spending time with his wife, Laura, 2 year-old boy Connor and 11 month-old daughter Caitlin. He also enjoys playing golf, fishing, triathlon and has a new love for mountain biking with the RU Race cRUw.
