Biography: Cara was born in Seoul, South Korea but has lived in San Diego since she was 9 months old and truly has no intention to leave because everything that she loves is here. She has always wanted to do something in the medical field, but can’t stand the sight of blood or injections of any kind. She thinks that is why she turned to Medical Billing and Coding. Not only is she great with numbers, but she always compared the billing and collections aspects to a puzzle. There are many ways to solve the problem, you just have to look at it from multiple different angles. Not to mention, she loves puzzles.
Prior to working at Rehab United, Cara worked in several customer service positions including a couple of department stores, a restaurant, and a hospital in the food and nutrition department. Later on, she did her externship for billing and coding for a walk-in clinic. Her love for billing and coding grew when the clinic hired her right out of school.
Cara and her fiancé, Adlai, love going to Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure. They enjoy taking their two girl dogs with them. They LOVE all of the attention that they get there. Cara and her fiancé have a lot of fun when they are on the rides and the dogs do as well. When Cara was in high school, she was in a show choir and actually performed in Epcot Center during her senior year. Not only was it a memorable experience because it was her first time there, but her group ended up winning the competition. Eventually, she and her fiancé want to visit EVERY Disney Park, including the ones overseas. It will give them a great excuse to visit China, Japan, and France.
If Cara could have one superpower, she would love to be able to travel through time. Not only would she get to see loved ones that have moved on, but she would also get to relive the exciting events that happened in her life.
Cara joined the RU family because she really likes helping everyone and loves being a part of a team that feels more like an extended family.
