Biography: Chantel was born and raised in San Diego, California. She moved to San Francisco in 2015 fresh out of high school to continue her education. She received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise and Movement Sciences in 2020 at San Francisco State University. She recently moved back to Southern California from San Francisco after living there for 7 years.
Chantel has an ongoing foot issue where she is in consistent pain and has trouble standing and walking for long periods of time. Her first introduction to Physical Therapy was at a young age when she saw a physical therapist for this issue instead of undergoing a surgical procedure. From her positive experience as well as having an interest in being in the medical field, she decided to pursue this career path after graduation high school. During her last 2 years in San Francisco, she had the opportunity to work at an outpatient orthopedic clinic as an aide. Her mentor there became a big inspiration for her as she gained a lot of knowledge about the field from her. She hopes to carry on what she learned to Rehab United.
Chantel chose to join Rehab United as she is interested in the neurological side of rehabilitation and hopes to specialize in it when she becomes a physical therapist. She is currently working towards her application process for Doctor of Physical Therapy school and she is thrilled to learn more from the team.
