Meet the Team

Over the last 15 years, our family has grown from a team of three to a team of over 80 staff members! Our "cRUw" is key to our success as an organization and we truly take pride in the family we've built over the years.

Drew Wright, PT, DPT, BFR-1

Physical Therapist

Hometown: Escondido, California

Education: University of California Santa Cruz, BA in Economics, 2003-2007;

University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, DPT, 2016-2018

Sports: Soccer, Baseball, Golf

Hobbies: I enjoy playing golf, men’s league softball, and fishing when possible although it has been tough to find the time recently due to PT school dominating the majority of my time. I also enjoy attending San Diego Padres games no matter how bad they may be.

Favorite Foods: Mexican food & pizza

Who You Admire / Favorite Mentor: The person that I admire most is my mom, as she set a great example for my brother and me growing up. She instilled a good work ethic and family-first mentality that has helped me become who I am today.

Fun Fact About You: I received the Medal of Valor from the California State Firefighters Association

Biography: I have lived in San Diego for my entire life except for the four years that I spent in Santa Cruz during my undergraduate studies. I love the weather, the beach, and the outdoor activities that San Diego offers and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. Once I decided to make the career change to Physical Therapy, I reached out to Rehab United in search of volunteer and observational experience. I was blessed to be able to volunteer and work as an aide at both RU1 and RU4 as I was preparing to enter graduate school. My time at both places cemented my passion for helping people on their road to recovery and for the field of Physical Therapy as a whole.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I am currently attempting to become a better golfer, but I would describe that as me fighting a losing battle. If I had to choose a super power, I would pick teleportation because I think it would be awesome to be able to go anywhere in the world in an instant.

I chose Rehab United because I was lucky enough to have previously worked with this company and their passion and knowledge in Physical Therapy is inspiring. I am excited to be a part of the team and look forward to what the future holds.
