Biography: Kianna grew up in Orange County and always knew that she wanted to pursue a career in pediatric healthcare. As a dancer for 12 years, she has had to receive physical therapy herself, which inspired her to want to help others. While taking anatomy class her senior year of high school, Kianna quickly became fascinated with the human body and its biomechanics which ultimately solidified her desire to become a physical therapist.
She moved down to San Diego in 2017 to attend San Diego State University as a Kinesiology major with an emphasis in Pre-Physical Therapy. In her time at college, Kianna has been a part of an organization that supports Rady Children’s Hospital, San Diego. This has strengthened her goal to work for and with children in her career. Kianna is graduating from SDSU in May 2021 and hopes to receive her DPT and become a physical therapist in the future.
Choosing Rehab United was no question for Kianna. She joined the team as a volunteer in September 2019. During her time as a volunteer, she appreciated how interactive the learning environment was between the physical therapists and aides. Now as an aide, she is excited and grateful to broaden her knowledge with the help of everyone at this amazing company while also being able to help give back to the San Diego community.
