Biography: Liezel was born and raised in the Philippines and came to the U.S. in 2008 when she was 18 years old. She first started working at McDonald's and eventually became a manager after years of working there, and was also working part-time at Kohls at the same time. She enjoyed working at Kohls as she loved the people and the sales because as an employee she was always the first one to know what’s on clearance.
Liezel has also worked in the manufacturing industry, assembling medical devices. Although she initially studied to become a Nursing Assistant in the Philippines, she no longer saw herself being a nurse but wanted to stay in the medical field so she decided to go for medical billing. Since then, she has done billing, collections, and payment posting, and found herself being really strong with numbers, reconciling and finding every penny, and balancing accounts. She likes what she does and truly enjoys it.
If she can have one superpower, Liezel would want to be able to read people's minds because she finds it interesting to find out what is on their minds. Plus, it might also be helpful in helping people who are going into depression but hide it and still show a happy face. She would probably be able to offer help that's needed and comfort them.
Liezel chose to join RU because she likes the people here and thinks they are very friendly. They make you feel part of the team, they treat you like a family, and because she has a down-to-earth boss.
