Whom You Admire / Favorite Mentor: I admire my best friend from high school, Mariana. She has been through some rough times throughout her life and has always come out of those experiences stronger than before. She has worked extremely hard for the life she has today and she is thriving. She’s also a loyal, dependable friend who is always there no matter what.

Fun Fact About You: I have a small dog training business called Training with Lindsay

Biography: Lindsay moved to San Diego in July of 2019 and currently lives with her roommate and their two dogs. She has worked as a Dog Behaviorist at an animal shelter in Kansas City, moved to San Diego to train Service Dogs, and most recently worked as a Veterinary Assistant/Customer Service Representative at a vet clinic. At Bergin University of Canine Studies, the students lived with their dog-in-training 24/7. She lived with a total of 8 different dogs over the two years that she was there, and treated them like they were her own while training them to be Service Dogs. Anytime she and her friends went shopping, to the movies, or any public place, they took the dogs with them. At every get-together at someone’s house, you could always count on there being at least 5 dogs present. Toby, her 5-year old Golden Retriever, is pretty much her child. He washed out of Service Dog school three years ago due to anxiety, and he still remembers how to turn lights on and off, open doors, and do other fun tricks.

While she loves working with animals, Lindsay decided to pursue a new career path involving something else that she is passionate about: physical therapy! After having three knee surgeries in high school, she became very interested in fitness and health. She has been going to physical therapy for the past 10 years and enjoys seeing the positive impact it can make in someone’s life.

If she could have one superpower, Lindsay would want teleportation mostly so that she wouldn’t have to sit in traffic.

Lindsay chose RU because it seems like a happy, positive atmosphere to work in. Everything she has seen and heard so far has been great, and she can’t wait to be a part of the team!
