Biography: Ralph was born and raised in San Gabriel, California and came to San Diego in 1997 to attend San Diego State University, where he played soccer and earned a business degree. After school, he played soccer professionally in San Diego, Utah, and Brazil. While playing in Brazil, Ralph injured his hip and returned home to San Diego for treatment. Ralph began treatment at Rehab United under the care of former teammate Bryan Hill, his brother Sean, and current head of performance with the US Men’s National Soccer Team Steve Tashjian. While rehabbing from injury, Ralph began working as a PT aide and strength and conditioning coach to pay for his services. Ralph became so inspired by the care he received and the positive changes they were able to make in the lives of others that he decided to go back to school to become a physical therapist. He attended California State University, Northridge where he earned a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy. While at Northridge, Ralph interned with the Los Angeles Dodgers during Spring Training in Arizona and was later hired on during the regular season to work with the team in LA. Ralph returned to Rehab United in 2012, this time as a physical therapist. He left Rehab United in 2014 to help a friend grow his physical therapy company but returned to a full-time position with Rehab United in September.
Ralph is very excited to be back stating that ”Sean and Bryan have been like family to me and it’s nice to come home.” He feels that he is surrounded by an amazing group of physical therapists and staff at Rehab United Carmel Valley and is grateful for the opportunity to be back with the company.
