Meet the Team

Since 2003, our family has grown from a team of three to a team of over 100 people! Our "cRUw" is key to our success and we truly take pride in the family we've built over the years. The Rehab United Difference Begins with Our People.

Hobbies: Hiking, going to the beach, watching movies, jiu-jitsu, and fishing

Whom You Admire / Favorite Mentor: My dad is my mentor and whom I aspire to be like. He made his own success from having nothing and never gave up when the going got tough.

Nickname: Gib, Gibson, Gibley

Fun Fact About You: I guess if I had to pick one fun fact it would be that up until middle school I wanted to be a scientist that studied bugs (which is obviously super cool)…as well as an NFL player. Looks like neither of those things came true.

Biography: Ryan has lived in San Diego his entire life! 21 years to be exact. He has worked over 650+ hours in an athletic training room, ranging from locations such as high schools, community colleges, and Naval bases. He has also worked as a volunteer at numerous PT clinics across San Diego. Ryan thinks that the most impressive of all is that he was a busser at the Broken Yolk in Pacific Beach for 2 months because that really breaks you down.

Ryan just received his ATC in June of 2021. He is now legally able to tell you whether your ankle is broken or not! Or is he? Ryan is a member of SDSU’s FATS (Future Athletic Training Society), which helps provide opportunities and organizes events for SDSU’s athletic training students.

His main hobbies include going to the gym and doing jiu-jitsu or Muay Thai. Due to school and work, Ryan has little free time. What he does have, he puts towards his gym. On the weekends, he also likes to hang out with his girlfriend and roommates, go to the beach, or catch a movie or game. Ryan has a dog named Lola and she is a 3-year-old beagle mix.

If Ryan could have one superpower, it would be invincibility. He knows it isn’t very creative or funny, but his whole adult life so far has been full of injuries and he would love a life without that annoying pain.

RU and Ryan came together very naturally. They had mutual connections, and in no time they set up a time to get together. They connected and knew that this was the right match. Since then, they have been working together as clean as a whistle.
