Fun Fact About You:  I taught myself to write with my non-dominant hand when given the assignment of writing for 30 min consecutively

Who You Admire / Favorite Mentor: My mentor is Marilyn Okita. She has taught me so many valuable skills in the 6 years I’ve known her to help me grow both professionally and personally. Other sources of inspiration include, but are not limited to, Maya Angelou, Ram Dass, Don Miguel Ruiz, Chris Burns, Wayne Edward Meyers, Grant Cardone, Tony Robbins, and other motivational speakers on the quest to become the best versions of themselves.

Biography:  Shanna is grateful to have grown up in San Diego.  She loves the weather, beach, mountains, seminars and all the concerts that come to town (she’s looking forward to seeing Fleetwood Mac soon).

Shanna has been a Massage Therapist since 2007.  She decided to get her degree after being praised for her ability to relieve stress of friends and family members with massage.  Her career started in a pain relief center in Sorrento Valley, where she worked closely with a chiropractor for 5 years.  This gave her experience in therapeutic styles such as Deep Tissue, Trigger Point and Sports Massage.  Then she moved on to a spa setting for 4 years to learn more techniques like Hot Stone and continue refining the Swedish and Prenatal modalities.  For the last 2 years she has been a traveling massage therapist, combining all her experience to give quality, professional massages in the comfort of the client’s home.  She has also worked for health fairs and at companies to provide chair massage in the workplace to improve productivity of the employees.  Shanna has a passion for massage and is constantly growing herself and her abilities.

One fun fact about Shanna was that out of a class of 20 massage students, she was named by her instructor “The Best in Class”. She is a social butterfly and is actively involved in San Diego’s entrepreneur community and associated networking groups.  She has been affectionately dubbed “The Queen of Contacts”.

Six years ago, something amazing happened.  Shanna lost 30 pounds in 3 months and got off 6 prescription drugs!  As a result, she started sharing her experience to help others create balance in their lives.

To Shanna family is everything.  The reason she gets up and goes to work each morning is to support her 2 daughters and one day be able to afford a home big enough to include her fiancé and his son, who live over 30 miles away.  She also has a very cute dog struggling with an identity crisis (he thinks he’s a cat).  She is currently treating him with doggie massages.

Shanna chose to work with RU after her extensive research found that they are the best.  Shanna is excited to be working with a company that has so many accolades for excellence. Plus, the company’s family style approach perfectly matches Shanna’s core values of family and service to others.  When you’re ready to experience the best, come visit Shanna and the rest of the team at RU4.
