Our new speech therapy services allow us to widen our scope and provide much-needed treatment options for neurological patient populations.

Our speech-language pathologists assess and treat speech disorders with a focus on providing education, compensatory strategies, and restorative strategies to help improve communication for patients.

Speech therapy involves:

Speech

  • How we produce sounds and put sounds together to form words.

  • Strengthening muscles for speech, articulating, and coordinating movements.

Language

  • Expressive language, comprehension of language, written language, and reading.

Cognition

  • Attention, memory, word-finding, processing, and executive functioning

Swallowing (Dysphagia)

  • Strengthening and coordinating muscles, alternating diets, and safe swallowing

Voice

  • Pitch, intonation, volume, rhythm, and airflow.

Fluency Disorders

  • Stuttering, cluttering
