Stephen Garner, PT, DPT, BFR-1
Hometown: Born in San Diego. Raised in Texas.
Education: University of St. Augustine- San Marcos - Doctor of Physical Therapy 2016; University of Houston - B.S. Kinesiology 2013.
Sports: Basketball, volleyball, surfing, soccer...anything outdoors.
Hobbies: Relaxing with the family, going to the beach, socializing with friends and cooking.
Whom You Admire / Favorite Mentor: My father who is the hardest worker I know and a man of great character.
Fun Fact About You: He's been happily married for 3 years and has a small dog named Dobby.
Biography: Stephen was actually born here in San Diego, CA, but was raised and spent most of his life in Dallas, Texas. He attended the University of Houston for his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and then returned to San Diego for physical therapy graduate school at the University of St. Augustine in San Marcos, CA. Stephen chose to pursue a career in physical therapy because he loves the human body and how it moves and works fascinates him. He loves being around people all day and in an environment that is conducive for restoring someone's health and is a social output. He also wanted to do something where he could stay involved in sports and be active. Stephen is always eager to learn and is currently pursuing his Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist certification (CSCS), his MTC AND his certification of Applied Functional Science®!
