Our Approach
Your Patient Journey at Rehab United
Step 1: Evaluation
Your initial visit will include a thorough evaluation in which you and your provider will discuss your medical history, symptoms, and goals for treatment. Your provider will evaluate your posture, strength, mobility, and more in order to assess your condition. If necessary, there may be a pelvic floor muscle exam, which is similar to a gynecologic exam but without a speculum – these exams are only performed with your consent.
Step 2: Personalized Treatment Plan
Your treatment plan will be customized to your condition and your goals. Pelvic PT treatments typically focus on a combination of soft tissue work, strengthening, relaxation, breathing, coordination, postural control, and core control. You will also be given a Home Exercise Program (HEP) to help you maintain progress between appointments.
Step 3: Discharge & Self-Management
Once you are ready to be discharged, it’s our goal that PT has provided you with all of the resources you need to manage your condition on your own. However, if you ever need additional assistance, we are always here to help.

Yes, absolutely! We understand that finding childcare can be a significant barrier to receiving necessary care. We are a family-friendly clinic, and you are welcome to bring children, although we do recommend keeping infants and toddlers in carriers or strollers for their safety. Please notify us when booking so that we can ensure we are adequately prepared for your visit.
